Taiwanese Model: Jessie Ting

I am proud to present to you the first Real Taiwan modeling photo shoot. Jesse Ting, the subject of this set, is an intelligent, good humored, and strikingly gorgeous Taiwanese girl. I got a lot of great photos of her at a location that is in stark contrast to her beauty; a demolition site of old Taiwanese houses.

Jesse is very versatile and can look extremely sexy or innocent.

Taiwan is full of beauty. Interlaced within the urban sprawl are pockets of tranquility and amazing sights that serve to inspire.

Recently, I have been visiting the KMT (Guo Min Dang) villages that were erected hastily over 50 years ago to serve the “visiting” KMT army. Of course these villages ended up not as temporary housing but as very permanent and visible indicators of the KMT army’s presence and power in Taiwan.

The buildings are old and small, and there are many reasons why they should be replaced. I have been going through many of them, photographing and exploring these cultural artifacts before they are demolished. Many houses I have been to have since been razed.

Perhaps these photographs are the only reminders of these old Taiwanese houses.

Considering the emphasis is on moving forward in Taiwan, these housing complexes are as uninspiring to the Taiwanese as say a ghetto or trailer park is in America.

As an outsider looking in, I am very fascinated by the housing conditions that people lived in and are still living in in Taiwan. Things such as the small simple rooms, the prayer alters in all of the houses, and the posters left on the walls all tell a story about the people in Taiwan. Humble beginnings to extravagant ends (for the elite).

Taiwan’s KMT political party is one of the richest parties in the world. Their “black gold” has served the government officials well, but looking into these villages and speaking with some of their long time residents, it is clear many of the founders of modern day Taiwan have been left behind.

If you like these photos and would like to see more of Jesse or other Taiwanese girls here, I ask that you (especially one of the 20,000+ visitors that make their way to this site every month) please leave a comment or share this page via the share this link at the end of this post. At the minimum please let Jesse know what a beautiful girl she is.

I would like to thank Jesse for making the shoot go very smoothly and for being great to work with. Also, any aspiring models in Taiwan should email me if they are interested in their own photo shoot. It’s free and will help you build your resume.

  4. Hi
I am looking for a western model and a photography studio to do shots of a product. Would you by chance know of any in tainan? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can see the product and get an idea of the type of model I need at http://www.myzigo.com

    Thanks!

  5. Are you looking for a photographer as well? I saw your post on the Tainan Bulletin and put Chienni’s link there as well. Good luck in your search.

  6. Yes, I do, indeed need a photographer. I need someone with a studio to do indoor shots with the model and the product. I think I found someone in Taichung that will work but I’m definitely interested in getting in touch with more than one person.

    Thanks for the replies!
