Taiwan: Domestic Taiwan Airlines Ticket Prices Update

I just caught wind of an article online that says the price of airline tickets for domestic Taiwanese airlines (Eva Airways, China Airlines) are going to increase by quite a bit, especially to America.

Here is a bit from the article:

Taipei, March 5, 2008 (CENS)–In reflecting soaring oil prices, domestic airlines will hike their international flight ticket prices up to 15%, the largest in 10 years, from mid-March and may raise the prices again in June with the advent of the peak season.

Ticket prices for flights to the U.S. will jump 12-15%, the largest scale, compared with 7% hike for flights to Asian destinations. Round-trip economic-class ticket prices for flights to the U.S. will increase by NT$3,000, as a result.
