Formosan Emmy: The newest addition to The Real Taiwan

Hello everyone, I’m pleased to introduce to you the latest writer for the site, Formosan Emmy. I’m personally excited to hear what she is going to be writing about in Taiwan. Here is a short bio written by her:

Upon arrival in Taiwan three and a half years ago my life began a fantastic, relatively unplanned journey I’d never imagined. My transition from small town Iowa to Taiwan’s oldest city has been simple and complicated, delightful and difficult, exhilarating and tedious. In this blog you’ll find some of my whims as well as some (hopefully) well-thought entries about my unconventional life as a non-Asian Asian – a North American white chick married to a Taiwanese guy. I hope to show you a new perspective about life in Taiwan and talk about cultural topics that may seem difficult to approach. I may squeeze out a travel log or two, but you’ll usually be reading about my personal experiences, reflections, and opinions. But don’t get too serious – life here is fun! = D
